WE GET TO
We act like family at Calvary, which, in part, means we depend on one another as we embrace Jesus’ mission to make disciples. God has given every single one of us time, talent, and testimonies, and every gift can be used for God’s glory and others’ good (see 1 Corinthians 12). Even if you don’t yet know your gift or aren’t using your gift, love is the most excellent way (check out 1 Corinthians 13)!
It takes about 100 loving volunteers to make our Sunday morning ministries (kids, hospitality, music, tech) happen throughout the year. Plus, even more volunteer to serve students at youth group. Every August, the staff calls the church family to consider committing to serve Jesus in one of these ways on Sunday mornings.
We call this volunteer commitment campaign “WE GET TO” because serving King Jesus is a great privilege. We don’t have to serve; WE GET TO serve. This love of serving for Jesus’ glory and others’ good is a natural overflow of the ways Jesus is helping us to think and act more like him.
Excited to serve Jesus in a tangible way this year?
